Exceptional Stacking Bookcase with Leaded Glass – 5 Sections plus Base and Top
Exceptional antique stacking bookcase with leaded glass circa 1900 in very good original condition. This style is also known as a barrister’s bookcase because they were commonly used in legal offices around the turn of the century with additional sections added as required. In fact it was advertised as the “Elastic Bookcase” because it could expand and this bookcase retains that original advertising. It was patented in Canada in 1897. Well made of quarter cut oak by the Wernicke Company, known for high quality bookcases, it has a base, 5 bookcase sections with leaded glass and a top section. It is easily transported because allsections detach easily from one another. The bottom section is exceptional (and rare) because it is deeper than the 4 sections above it. The glass fronts lift and slide into the tops. Works well and all glass is original. Very well constructed, in great condition, beautiful, very functional and of collector’s quality!
Mahogany Drop Front Desk – Gov Winthrop Style circa 1940
Antique mahogany drop front desk circa 1940 in very good original condition including all the hardware. The drop front opens to reveal a wonderful interior with secret compartments and drawers. Glides come out automatically to support the writing surface. The four drawers below are all double serpentine (2 curves) and provide a great deal of storage. Chippendale inspired, it has ball and claw feet. Well made of mahogany by Maddox well known for high quality furniture its retains its original label. Poor photos of a very nice desk… lots of glare.

Well made of beautiful quarter cut oak by Globe Wernicke, known for high quality bookcases, it has a base, 3 bookcase sections and a top section. The sections are the taller more desirable size.. All sections detach from each other for easy transporting. Designed this way so that more sections could be added as needed. The glass fronts lift and slide into the tops. Very well constructed, in great condition, beautiful and very functional too! It looks much better in person…dusty in these photos…crummy photos of a collector quality antique! Original Mission Oak Desk with Extendable side Shelves
Antique Mission style oak desk with lots of special features including pop out side file storage and a writing tray that is also the top to the centre drawer. Circa 1930, this desk is 100% original. Very well made of solid quarter sawn oak, this desk is sturdy and very functional and looks great from all angles. In over 40 years of antique collecting this is the first time we have seen this style with pop out sides.

China Cabinet c1935 in Very Nice Original Condition
China cabinet circa 1935 in very good original condition including all hardware. Well made by Drake & Hersey Furniture company, this cabinet has well turned legs, lots of nice mouldings, pediment top with finial, and lots of other attractive features. The glass door open to reveal 2 shelves with double grooves for displaying treasures. A large drawer below proves additional storage. Very attractive, versatile and functional!

This style is also known as a barristers’ bookcase because they were commonly used in legal offices around the turn of the century. Well made of oak by the Globe-Wernicke Company, known for high quality bookcases, it has a base, 4 bookcase sections with glass and a top section. The sections are graduated in size with 2 sections that are 8 1/4″, one that is 10 1/4″ and one that is 12 1/2″ …of course you are arrange them in any way that you would like. All sections detach from each other for easy transporting. Designed this way so that more sections could be added as needed. The glass fronts lift and slide into the tops. Very well constructed, in great condition, beautiful and very functional too! It looks better in person…lots of glare when these photos were taken.

Versatile Cabinet c1920 – Bookcase or China Cabinet
Antique cabinet circa 1925 in very good condition. This cabinet is versatile and can be used as a china cabinet, bookcase or to display a special collection. Well made of oak, it has adjustable solid wooden shelves with double groves for displaying dishes or other treasures. This attractive cabinet has Queen Ann legs and other decorative details. One large door with glass opens to reveal 4 shelves that provide a great deal of storage. Very attractive and functional!
Dimensions: Overall Height 60.5″ which includes 1.5″ backboard. Width 40.5″ Depth 15″. The shelves are adjustable and can be any height.
Antique Wicker Desk in Very Good Condition!
Antique wicker desk circa 1930 … this is not a reproduction. It has been painted white but otherwise is original including original hardware. Looks great from all angles with a finished back. Long centre drawer provides good storage. Very comfortable size and height. Attractive base.
Beautiful Mahogany Expandable (2-10 guests) Console Table Circa 1940
Mahogany expandable console table that is great for how we live today. When closed it is only 21 inches deep but when the top is flipped open it seats four (42″ by 38″) for dinner. When it is fully extended it has 2 additional legs that fold down to support the extra leaves. Unfortunately there are no extra leaves that come with this table (just the one as shown). Fully extended it could seat approx 10 people. It would also make a great buffet table and when not in use it makes a great side table or desk. Wonderful cabriolet legs with Chippendale ball and claw feet, reeded edges, and a false front drawer with original handles, all add to its appeal. So practical, functional and beautiful!

Triple Bowed China Cabinet – Dark Oak
Antique bow front dark oak china cabinet circa 1920 in very solid original condition including all the glass. The sides are bowed with bowed glass (not Plexiglas). It has Empire style feet and other Empire influences as well and a nicely shaped top. This wll made cabinet is very solid and sturdy. It has four shelves that are easily removed for transporting (Photos show some with and without the shelves.) The shelves have double grooves for displaying plates. An attractive and very functional display cabinet! These photos do not do this cabinet justice.

Students’ Desks c1900 in Great Refinished Condition
Antique wooden desk circa 1900 with matching chair in very very good refinished condition. The interior and exterior of this desk has been refinished and looks great. The metal base has its maker’s name embossed in the metal and was made in Preston Ontario. The chair is sturdy and refinished and suitable for a youth or adult.The top of the desk has an ink well and spot for pencils. This versatile desk would be great for a student, calligraphy, laptop desk,home schooling, family room etc,
