Original Stacking Bookcase by Globe -Wernicke 4 sections + top and base

Antique stacking bookcase circa 1900 in very good original condition. This style is also known as a barristers’ bookcase because they were commonly used in legal offices around the turn of the century. Well made of oak by the Globe-Wernicke Company, known for high quality bookcases, it has a base, 4 bookcase sections with glass and a top section. The sections are graduated in size with 2 sections that are 8 1/4″, one that is 10 1/4″ and one that is 12 1/2″ …of course you are arrange them in any way that you would like. All sections detach from each other for easy transporting. Designed this way so that more sections could be added as needed. The glass fronts lift and slide into the tops. Very well constructed, in great condition, beautiful and very functional too! It looks better in person…lots of glare when these photos were taken.
